Position: Salesforce QA Lead
Location:Tampa, FL or Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract
Payrate on W2 and 1099
Strategy & Planning
- Participate in the product increment planning and document test plan and test scenarios in collaboration with the business product owner, product analysts and engineers.
- Create an adoption plan and lead efforts with business to drive technology adoption
- Partner with the organizational change management and training team and work with business to drive Salesforce adoption efforts
- Create and own the overall test plan and strategy for the Salesforce initiatives.
- Break down the complexity of the test scenarios into unit, system and user acceptance categories.
- Clearly document the test scenarios for all user stories in the JIRA backlog.
- Research and identify test automation tools that the firm can invest in
- Create testing estimates for the user stories
- Create test driven development information into the user stories Product validation
- Perform all product validation through the sprints and during the deployment.
- Own the system integration testing and move the user stories ahead into user acceptance testing.
- Lead the testing efforts of other testers and platform user support team
- Provide oversight to all testing activities across multiple scrum teams
- Build automation scripts and plan for all testers to use
- Perform user acceptance testing and scenario testing to ensure product’s conformance to the quality standards
- Ensure business stakeholders are completing the user acceptance testing and obtain approval to release to production
- Perform production validation to ensure the product enhancement met the intended requirements.
Operational efficiency
- Ensure that the Salesforce platform backlog is comprehensive with sized user stories, enriched with testing estimates, Gherkins or equivalent scripts
- Track all dependent team’s testing and ensure smooth sprint completion.
- Follow up with all engineers to ensure the stories are moved through the SIT, UAT environments in time to keep the sprint effective
- Assist in co-ordinating the go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
- Assist in ensuring that the sprint goals are met each sprint.
- Own any production defects, test and funnel them through sprints towards fixes as applicable.
- Provide oversight and own the outcomes from other testing efforts as well as business support request efforts handled by the run team members
Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree.
- Certifications in Salesforce technologies
- Certifications in any testing tools and methodologies.
Knowledge & Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in the quality analysis and testing software applications
- 3-5 years of experience in the Salesforce platform ecosystem.
- 5-8 years of proven experience with testing, writing test scenarios, Gherkin or equivalent scripting for testing
- 5-8 years of experience in working with business eliciting requirements, acceptance criteria and driving business adoption efforts
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce technologies.
- Excellent software troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
