Psychometrics Intern (Remote) at Pearson in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Psychometrics Internship Why join Pearson's intern program? Pearson is offering an 8-week internship in the summer of 2024 for two doctoral students with outstanding psychometric skills who wish to gain experience in large-scale educational assessment. The internship will include hands-on experience working with operational K-12 assessments. Specific activities may include various aspects of assessment development, item analysis, standard setting, and technical reporting. Internship Goals Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Pearson research scientists to: 1. Gain applied experience on many of the tasks involved in supporting an operational K-12 assessment contract; 2. Enhance understanding of ways to collaborate and communicate about educational measurement. What Does the Internship Program Offer? DATES: The 8-week internship will take place in the June-August timeframe. There is flexibility within the 8-week block, but interns should be prepared to commit to the complete 8-week term in a full-time capacity. LOCATION: Virtual / Remote Set-up AWARD: The award includes a $2,250/bi-weekly (Stipend) Minimum Requirements + Interns should be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in educational measurement, educational statistics, educational psychology, or a similar program. + At least two years of doctoral-level coursework must be completed prior to the summer of 2024 + Interns should have strong written and verbal communication skills. + Pearson summer interns may not participate in other summer internship or externship programs concurrently.
