Job Description
A Mental Health Facility is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Medicine Psychiatrist to join their team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in addiction medicine and psychiatry, with a strong commitment to providing quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients with substance use disorders, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, which may include medication management, therapy, and referral to additional services as needed.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors, social workers, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility protocols and legal requirements.
Provide support and intervention during acute situations or emergencies related to substance use and mental health crises.
Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and strategies for long-term recovery.
Adhere to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices in addiction medicine and psychiatry.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with specialization in Psychiatry.
Board certified or board eligible in Addiction Medicine and/or Psychiatry.
Previous experience in addiction medicine, substance use disorders, and related psychiatric conditions preferred.
Valid and unrestricted medical license in New York.
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work on a per diem basis, with flexibility to accommodate varying shifts and patient needs.

Salary: $150/hr
