Overview

ESI is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia. The Proposal Specialist will manage the proposal development process, including leading proposal kickoff meetings, defining win themes, setting pursuit timeline and enforcing deadlines for the team, leading the proposal production, and coordinating proposal review with the Executive Team. The proposal production involves researching, writing, editing, proofreading, and producing proposals, statements of qualifications, resumes, and project descriptions in compliance with various requirements, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of proposal development experience for Heavy Industrial EPC Projects in the $50+ million range.

Proposal Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Manage the proposal development process
• Lead proposal kickoff meetings
• Lead proposal teams, assigning proposal tasks to others and ensuring assignments are complete
• Develop compliance outlines and internal proposal production schedules
• Execute cohesive and compelling sales case throughout proposal document
• Incorporate resumes, project descriptions, and other marketing materials
• Develop content for proposals including written portions and supporting graphics
• Coordinate with graphic designers to create the needed graphics for inclusion in proposals
• Write, edit, and proofread proposal content
• Consult with engineering, project management, and project controls as needed for proposal development
• Receive guidance/collaboration as requested or as needed, particularly on strategic-level submittals
• Communicate with the client throughout the proposal development process
• Document all client feedback including win/loss summary
• Maintain continuous improvement in the proposal development process
• Communicate with the Executive Team throughout the proposal development process
• Assist marketing with written content including editing and proofreading
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while coordinating multiple projects and multiple deadlines

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or another related field
• Minimum of five years of proposal development experience, with at least three years in a technical environment
• Minimum of three years of experience with technical writing
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval
• Proposal development experience for Heavy Industrial EPC Projects in the $50+ million range is a PLUS
