Are you a seasoned construction professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for excellence? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Foreman to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing our construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in handling heavy equipment such as rolls, pumps, crushers, conveyor lines, and water systems. The role also requires a deep understanding of materials such as aggregate, rock, and sand, as well as expertise in the maintenance of these materials through processes like washing.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Foreman, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
2. Managing the operation of heavy equipment such as rolls, pumps, crushers, and conveyor lines.
3. Overseeing the maintenance and effective utilization of materials such as aggregate, rock, and sand.
4. Ensuring that all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
5. Implementing rigorous risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards on the construction site.
6. Providing effective team leadership and fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
7. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
8. Communicating regularly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Foreman position should possess the following qualifications:
1. At least 5 years of experience in a foreman role within the construction industry.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as rolls, pumps, crushers, and conveyor lines.
3. Proficiency in handling and maintaining materials such as aggregate, rock, and sand.
4. Strong understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Proven experience in risk management and safety compliance.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Certification in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.) or a degree in construction management will be an added advantage.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
