Project Manager - Civil/Structural

Green River, Wyoming

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and coordination of project development and execution.
  • Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule.
  • Project team management and development of team members (i.e. maintenance, operations, safety).
  • Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution.
  • Manage and forecast project costs.
  • Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and equipment standards.
  • Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards.
  • Management of departmental record keeping and databases.

Activities:

  • Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of AFEs and evaluation of project’s economics.
  • Oversee management of change (MOC) process.
  • Assist in performing root cause analysis’s (RCA’s).
  • Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule.
  • Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution.
  • Manage and forecast project costs.
  • Participate in development and administration of capital plan.
  • Project management, including cost accountability.
  • Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance, and support groups.
  • Prepares design, drawings & specification documents.
  • Prepares bid/request documents, addendums & change orders for procurement phase.
  • Direct interface with discipline engineers.
  • Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements.
  • Project closure and accounting interface.
  • Support project systems.
  • Support ISO efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, with five or more years Civil / Structural experience, OR a B.S Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • 4 + years of experience in Project Management, strongly preferred.
  • Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.
