Introduce:

The College of Physical Education at Chongqing University is a secondary school dedicated to offering diverse, high-quality public physical education, high-level competitive sports, and specialized sports programs and disciplines. The College aims to develop a high-level faculty team with a reasonable structure, establishing itself as a nationally renowned, distinctive, and research-oriented institution in line with the university s Double First-Class status.

The College primarily focuses on the discipline of physical education, which includes Sports Education and Training, Sports Humanities and Sociology, Ethnic Traditional Sports, and Sports Science.

   1. 1936: Established the Department of Physical Education, beginning the training of sports professionals.
   
   
   
   2. 1951: Merged with the Department of Physical Education at Southwest Normal school.
   
   
   
   3. 1979: Resumed undergraduate admissions.
   
   
   
   4. 2001: Partnered with the Chongqing Sports Bureau, obtaining authorization for a first-level discipline master's program in Sports Studies.
   
   
   
   5. 2002: Started enrolling graduate students in the master s program in Sports Education and Training.
   
   
   
   6. 2007: Began offering in-service master s programs for university teachers.
   
   
   
   7. 2010: Launched the master's program in Physical Education.
   
   
   
   8. 2019: The Sports Education program was designated as a Chongqing First-Class Program.
   
   
   
   9. 2022: The Sports Education program was designated as a National First-Class Program.
   
   
   
   10. 2025: The Sports Training program will begin admissions.
   
   
   
   
   



2. Current Structure and Resources:
   
   
   
   
   
   1. The College currently offers an undergraduate program in Sports Education (with a Sports Training program starting in 2025) and a master s program in Sports Studies.
   
   
   
   2. It maintains high-level sports teams in basketball, soccer, and tennis.
   
   
   
   3. The faculty includes over ten international and national referees.
   
   
   
   4. The faculty team boasts world champions in sports such as badminton and aerobics.
   
   
   
   5. The College has high-standard sports venues and facilities.

   1. In the past five years, the faculty has published over 30 high-quality papers in leading national and international journals such as Sports Science and Journal of Sports.
   
   
   
   2. The faculty has led two projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and over ten projects supported by the Ministry of Education and provincial and ministerial-level projects.

Position Details:

Application Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate high academic achievements, with academic results in the past 5 years exceeding or meeting the standards required for the corresponding high-level positions at the university.

Benefits:

• Relocation allowance of RMB 400,000-600,000;

Hongshen Young Teacher

Application Requirements: Candidates should be doctoral graduates from other universities who possess an excellent academic background and achievements, have produced high-quality research outcomes, and demonstrate significant potential for innovative development.

Benefits:

• For the first 3 years, the pre-tax salary of RMB 250,000/year, with additional performance-based rewards. After passing the mid-term assessment, performance-based salary will be implemented according to the professional position standards.



• Relocation allowance of RMB 200,000;



• Research start-up funds of RMB 100,000 for science, engineering, and medical sciences, and RMB 50,000 for humanities and social sciences;



• During the appointment period, if the candidates are selected for the national postdoctoral innovative talent support plan, salary will be increased during the funding period.



• Hongshen Young Teachers can independently choose to enter the postdoctoral mobile station. If they enter the postdoctoral mobile station and stay in Chongqing for work after completing the postdoctoral period, an additional subsidy of RMB 150,000 will be provided by the Chongqing municipal government.
