Come join the Dogs Etc. team! Dogs Etc. has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley since 1987. Our goal is to make all beloved dogs or cats look & feel wonderful. The team is made up of very talented, experienced, and professional groomers. We take pride in maintaining our excellent reputation of providing quality grooming to the SCV, SF, and AV for over 30 years.

We offer expert grooming and washing for all breeds of dogs, including cats! We are preferably looking for an experienced expert dog groomer to be part of our team. Cat grooming experience would be a great bonus!

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year salon grooming experience.
• Must treat all animals with care and respect and work well with them.
• Experience grooming a dog from start to finish.
• Must be familiar with analyzing dog behaviors.
• Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced environment grooming 5-7 pets a day while maintaining our standards of excellence!
• Adaptable, helpful, caring and capable of working independently.
• Must be able to lift dogs and bend down.
• Please be able to provide a portfolio of your work and have at least one reference.
• Be able to provide your own tools.
• We require our groomers to speak English as they are responsible to greet the clients at pick up and drop off.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full service from start to finish in a timely manner while maintaining quality. We do have bathers on staff to allow our groomers to groom more dogs in a day, but there will be times you are responsible for bathing your dog.
• Converse with clients to identify what they want.
• Clean up your personal station at the end of the shift.
• Our full groom service includes a de-shed brush out (up to 10 minutes free), full bath with quality products, drying, ear cleaning, nail clipping and filing with a dremel, clipping of sanitary area, face, feet, and paw pads if necessary and a full scissor haircut. We also offer de-shed treatments or specialty shampoos, external anal gland expression, and teeth brushing for an extra charge.
• Our groomers take responsibility bathing senior dogs, dogs with medical conditions, aggressive dogs, and assist bathers with XL dogs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
