Production Scheduler

We are seeking a Production Scheduler to play a key role in coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. This role is essential for maximizing operational efficiency and managing resources effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ERP software (Plex experience a plus) to develop and maintain production schedules
• Collaborate with supervisors and stakeholders to prioritize production orders and allocate resources efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with procurement teams to ensure material availability
• Analyze production capacity and identify opportunities to improve throughput and reduce lead times
• Communicate schedules and updates to production, quality, and customer service teams
• Manage minimum inventory levels of finished goods to balance customer demands and inventory control
• Organize work centers for the production floor, managing lead times and programs to meet delivery demands
• Track and issue jobs for assigned work centers, including rework processes
• Assist in managing material deliveries and expediting orders when necessary

Qualifications:

• 5 years of scheduling and production control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Background in metal fabrication
• Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP systems (Plex preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with inventory management techniques
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
