Regular Job Overview and Responsibilities The Materials Cluster Product Stewardship organization is embedded in the Corporate Function, but interacts closely with multiple functions within the Materials Cluster providing regulatory expertise and guidance to the businesses. This position will report directly to the Global Product Stewardship Manager for the Materials Cluster. The person will manage a global team that is responsible for cradle to gate compliance including: Hazcom, TSCA, raw materials management, responding to customer inquiries and trade compliance.
* Monitor new TSCA regulations, OSHA GHS and Canadian regulations and advocate Solvays position on any changes through appropriate organizations i.e. ACC, consortias, etc.
* Propose regulatory submission strategies for North America i.e. PMN, polymer exemption, etc.
* Work together with the other Product Stewardship Managers in the Materials Cluster to maintain the integration of Product Stewardship function in the business and R&D processes.
* This team will be responsible for responding to internal and external requests for product safety information on company products, including the creation of Regulatory Data Sheets.
* Ensure team is keeping up to date with the preparation of Global SDS, GHS labels and other hazard communication information using SAP.
* Team will be responsible for collecting and maintaining regulatory data from raw material suppliers.
* Ensure trade compliance documentation is in place per corporate policies.
* TSCA Coordinator for the business, oversee TSCA compliance, lead investigations regarding TSCA 8c/8e allegations of health and safety issues related to the use of our products or raw materials.
* Create and maintain Product Stewardship records relating to company products, intermediates and raw materials.
* Work closely with the central Hazcom team and Global Product Regulatory Compliance team.
* Individual contributor and also Manager of this newly formed team.
Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering/Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or other technical discipline. 10+ years (preferred experience in Hazcom & TSCA). 5+ years of related experience managing strategies in regulations and procedures.
