Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Product Designer to join our team. You will play a key role in designing furniture collections that blend aesthetics, ergonomics, and durability. From concept to production, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs to life that resonate with our customers and reflect our brand values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Development: Create original designs for outdoor, patio, and indoor furniture, considering form, function, and user experience.
  • Trend Research: Stay ahead of design trends, materials, and technologies in furniture and lifestyle markets.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes and work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to refine designs.
  • Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials for durability, sustainability, and visual appeal.
  • CAD & 3D Modeling: Produce detailed drawings and 3D models using tools like SolidWorks, Rhino, or AutoCAD.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design intent is maintained through to final product.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Incorporate feedback and usability insights to improve product performance and appeal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in furniture or product design, preferably in outdoor or lifestyle categories.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design process and finished products.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, 3D modeling tools).
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for furniture, design, and creating meaningful user experiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with outdoor furniture materials (e.g., teak, aluminum, wicker, performance fabrics).
  • Understanding of ergonomics and environmental factors affecting outdoor furniture.
  • Familiarity with design for mass production and cost optimization.
