Job Description

About Us
Urgent Care for Kids by Goodside Health operates 23 pediatric clinics across Texas, and we’re continuing to grow! While our name includes "Urgent Care," this role is within our Primary Care division , focused on delivering ongoing, comprehensive care for children and families in a traditional outpatient clinic setting.

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our providers in delivering exceptional primary care services. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in pediatric or family medicine practices—not urgent care or ER settings.

If you value Passion, Humility, Adaptability, Nurture, and Experience , we want to hear from you!

Position Summary

As a Primary Care Nurse, you’ll work closely with our clinical team to support patient care delivery, focusing on routine wellness visits, chronic condition management, vaccinations, and patient education. Your role will help ensure a smooth, supportive experience for patients and families from check-in through follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with providers to coordinate and support care plans.

  • Prepare for visits by reviewing charts, vaccine records, labs, and referrals (48 hrs prior).

  • Manage vaccine inventory and reporting in accordance with TVFC guidelines.

  • Facilitate prior authorizations, DME, and referral requests.

  • Perform patient care duties including vital signs, labs, and immunizations.

  • Complete registration and screening documentation (medical history, consents, etc.).

  • Assist with patient education and tracking of compliance for follow-up care.

  • Support annual TVFC audits and quality checks.

  • Help organize in-house vaccine clinics for staff and patients.

  • Other administrative and clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pediatric or family medicine office preferred.

  • Experience with Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program required.

  • Comfortable with phlebotomy and lab coordination.

  • At least 2 years of leadership or coordination experience is a plus.

  • Strong EMR and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.

This is a full-time position based in our Alliance primary care clinics. If you're passionate about pediatric healthcare in a more traditional clinic setting, we encourage you to apply and grow with us!
