Prep Cook

Busy local catering company looking for a prep cook and general helper-outer to get ready for events. We are looking for a full-time seasonal worker (May-October) who is timely and reliable. An upbeat and positive disposition and/or a love of food is plus! The position would be Weds-Sun. It starts at $20/hour with the potential for raises up to $25/hour, if exceptional at the job. This position has the potential to become year-round full-time if business goes well this season.

What to expect:
-Cleaning, cutting, assembling and storing foods. (Some knife skills would be preferable, but if you don't have strong skills, we can train if you are willing to learn.)
-Some basic cooking; blanching/shocking, simmering, grilling, etc. (Again, some skills would be preferable, but we can train if needed.)
-Some dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning
-Assist with packing and loading supplies for events, may include lifting 40-50# items from time to time
-Assist with unloading supplies from the work trucks that return from events, cleaning and returning items to storage ready for next events
