Job Description

Practice Administrator/Manager (Major Orthopedic Organization- Woodbridge, VA Based ( In- office).

Our client is one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious physician-owned Orthopedic & Physical Therapy Practice groups with over 28 practices and 60 locations in Maryland, Washington, D.C. & Virginia.

About the Role

The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Woodbridge, VA medical practice with several providers and more than one geographic location. This position provides operational management of the medical practice, revenue cycle management, supervision of staff and support to the physicians and staff. The Practice Manager works closely with physician leadership to plan, direct, and coordinate all practice activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for smooth, effective, and efficient medical practice operations.
  • Oversees and coordinates daily operations, including coverage and workflows.
  • Serves as expert for front office administrative processes and procedures.
  • Manages financial matters for practice, including ongoing monitoring and resolution, and participates in annual budget process.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance, including credentialing of professional/licensed staff, adherence to Medicare regulations and all payor regulations.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Directs, Monitors, and evaluates all activities of the practice to ensure professional medical care for each patient.
  • Provide direction for and evaluation for all staff both clinical and administrative.
  • Manages the collection of accounts receivable of the practice.
  • Under the direction of the managing partners, maintain contact with practice attorneys, accountants, and other consultants with legal and ethical requirements.
  • Documenting processes and maintain records.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
  • At least five years’ experience in practice administration and personal management in a similar environment.

Required Skills :

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions.
  • Experience innovating in a fast-growing work environment.
