Powder Coating Supervisor

Midlake Products is a growing metal fabricating company located in Louisville, Ohio. We pride ourselves on quality and technology and need good people to keep things moving forward! We have an immediate opening for a Powder Coating Supervisor . If you have strong leadership skills and experience in managing throughput in a manufacturing environment, we'd love to talk with you!

Job Requirements

• Ability to manage people and processes
• Ability to analyze work in process and optimize the workflow
• Ability to learn how to maintain a conveyorized powder coat system with a 4-stage wash, dryoff and cure oven, automatic Nordson spray booth with reclaim, and manual spray booths
• Ability to promote a safe working environment
• Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a timely manner
• Ability to learn how to recognize quality defects in products
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to use an ERP system and Microsoft Products

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure employees work in a safe manner
• Display the ability to fill staffing voids by assisting team members to meet production needs and requirements
• Display the ability to evaluate jobs and properly utilize labor to powder coat, mask, hang, inspect, and package parts
• Optimize production line efficiency by monitoring density, line speed, down time, quality, and overall productivity
• Display the ability to find bottlenecks in production processes, bring solutions to issues
• Promote an environment of high employee morale, maintain a pulse on both 1st and 2nd shift production
• Ensure that scheduling goals are met with efficiency and high quality.
• Provide leadership and support to direct reports. Discuss progress of work, resolve problems and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
• Supervise and direct the activities of employees involved in production of goods-counts, quality, proper packaging for shipping and handling.
• Responsible for proper handling and storage of consumable products, maintaining proper inventory levels, and adhering to FIFO methods for storage of product.
• Ensure new process documentation is created and implemented
• Maintain a clean powder coating department
