Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Piping Designer for our Design Drafting Group. In this role, you will work closely with onsite engineers to create and update piping designs, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create new isometric and design drawings for retrofit projects and new systems based on engineered field walks and scope of work.
• Use Autocad 2D
• Collaborate with other design drafters (instrumentation, P&ID) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Participate in the development of capital project packages, including Issue for Approval (IFA), Issue for Construction (IFC), and As-Builts.
• Submit estimates for Electronic Work Requests (EWR) detailing hours to complete work.
• Conduct field walkdowns for drawing verification and maintain familiarity with onsite Refining Engineering Practices (REPs) and relevant standards.
• Preferred: Utilize laser scanning for accurate field measurements.

Requirements:

• Ability to work onsite 40 hours per week during core business hours (M-F, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and willingness to learn Blue Cielo/Meridian and SPI (electrical/instrumentation).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must meet all site entry requirements, including maintaining a clean-shaven appearance, holding a TWIC Card, and completing yearly contractor training.
