Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Pipe Fabricator in Indianapolis! We are looking for a skilled individual to fabricate steel pipes, involving cutting, threading, and grooving. This hands-on role requires manual lifting up to 50 lbs and strict adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
Precision Crafting: Follow all standard operating procedures for pipe fabrication.
Machine Mastery: Set up and maintain Fab Shop machines with precision.
Measure & Cut: Use band saws and torches to measure and cut pipes accurately.
Thread & Bevel: Expertly thread and bevel pipes using Landis machines.
Yard Operations: Move loose or bundled pipes within the yard efficiently.
Order Assembly: Assemble pipe orders in single sticks or bundles, keeping supplies organized.
Safety First: Observe all safety precautions during fabrication, cutting, assembly, stacking, and shipping.
Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure it’s always in top condition.
Qualifications:
Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Math Proficiency: Excellent math skills to calculate product quantities.
Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safe work practices in a pipe yard.
Machine Operation: Experience with cutting and threading machinery per OSHA regulations (on-site training provided).
Customer Focus: Ability to stay results-driven in a fast-paced environment.
Tape Measure Pro: Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
