Job description: #IND

• Assisting the pharmacist in ordering, stocking, storing, and dispensing of prescription and non-prescription medications while demonstrating knowledge of the budgetary guidelines and BOP Formulary constraints.
• Maintaining pharmacy areas in a clean and orderly fashion consistent with departmental safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assisting the pharmacist in maintaining stock of up-to-date medications (checking for outdates per policy) in the main pharmacy, crash carts, emergency bags, and Automated Dispensing Systems.
• Assisting the pharmacist with maintaining stock of forms as needed and updating Pill Line/Restricted Medication cards for inmates as well as filing Medication Administration
• Records into the Medical Record.
• Assisting the pharmacist in preparing unit dose or pre-packaged medications.

Education and Experience

Individuals providing services under the contract award must meet all the following requirements:

1. Education: Must have graduated high school and been awarded a high school diploma, or its equivalent.

2. Experience: At least one year of experience which prepared the individual to do the services described in this document. Such specialized experience includes filling prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, and utilizing pharmacy-based computer systems, and may have been gained in hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies, or in pharmaceutical firms or laboratories.

3. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Schedule:

7.5-10 hour session per day, Monday through Friday
