The Specialty Pharmacy Intern Pharmacist supports the clinical and operational functions of the specialty pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role is designed to provide pharmacy students with hands-on experience in specialty medication management, patient care coordination, and high-touch pharmacy services for complex chronic conditions such as oncology, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, and more. In this role students will gain practical experience in managing specialty medications and high-risk patient populations, participate in the operations of a URAC/ACHC-accredited specialty pharmacy, and develop skills in interprofessional collaboration. The schedule is flexible around the academic schedule, with potential for full-time hours during summer or breaks if interested.

Education Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Pharmacy Intern Licensure with the state Board of Pharmacy and/or is eligible to work as an intern in the state they will be working.

ND: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the ND Board of Pharmacy.

MN: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the MN Board of Pharmacy.

WI: Completion of 2nd year of a Pharmacy program. No registration required.
