Description:
Responsible for the general supervision of the fitness center. Welcomes members and works to ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable experience. This position is also responsible for maintaining the weights and cardiovascular fitness areas to make sure equipment is clean, functioning properly and used according to the rules of the facility.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GE
* At least one year's recreation, physical fitness, or customer service experience
* CPR/AED certification, or willing to achieve in 60 day
* Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
* Outgoing personality, passion for fitness, knowledge of a fitness facility and physiology, and the ability to communicate well and teach others.
* Personal Training Certification by one of the organizations below is preferred.
* International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)
* National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
* American Council on Exercise (ACE)
* National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF)
* Fitness Mentors (FM)
* American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
* National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Duties:
* Greet members as they come into the gym
* Keep equipment clean and organized
* Enforce gym rules as established by the HOA
* Ensure sani-wipe dispensers are always stocked as well as hand sanitizer stations
* Assist members with use of equipment or any other questions they may have
* Keep fitness classroom organized and store all equipment in its proper place
* Assist with posting and updating of flyers
* Perform other tasks as assigned by your manager
