Overview:

About the Internship:

Seeking a summer intern to contribute hands-on work to various projects. Projects typically involve administrative duties and assisting with various divisions within the organization to include Facilities Management, Retail and Corporate. This position will be in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Responsibilities and Duties:

Payroll

  • Print UPS labels.
  • Create a spreadsheet with Clock ID’s/number for all time clock boxes.
  • Transfer all time clock boxes from the Payroll Manager's office to the storage room. Label the boxes neatly.
  • Confirm that we have a checklist and SOP on R Drive for every active pay group.
  • Confirm that checklist for all pay groups is in the same format.
  • Verify with the specialist that all locations and managers listed on the pre check contact sheet are up to date.
  • Validate that we have an SOP for every pay group and every task on the checklist is clearly defined on the SOP.
  • Review the checklist for pay groups and create a master spreadsheet showing pay groups that have the same steps/tasks.

Tax

  • Meet with the Tax specialist and create checklist for Daily, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly tasks.
  • Validate that we have an SOP for every task on the checklist.

Garnishment:

  • Review the checklist for Daily, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly tasks.
  • Validate that we have an SOP for every task on the checklist.
  • Help scanning the documents as needed.

Other tasks:

  • Case Management in UKG – Meet with team members and update cases.
  • Review the SOP for Tax and Garnishment and ensure it is able to be followed easily. 

Requirements:

  • Students must be current 10th or 11th grade students.

Completion/Enrollment in one or more of the following courses recommended:

  • Any Marketing Course
  • Business Management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • IB Business
