Patient Transporter Job Responsibilities: Assists patients in and out of taxis, ambulances, cars, and helicopters. Lifts patients on and off their beds and moves them to treatment areas and operating rooms. Performs basic health care services like measuring a patient's blood pressure and oxygen levels. Comforts patients and their family members by offering support and encouragement. Delivers equipment and supplies by picking up requisitioned orders and taking them to assigned treatment areas. Transports laboratory specimens. Follows all protocols when transporting the remains of deceased patients. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all standards and procedures. Patient Transporter Qualifications and Skills Great customer and patient service Outstanding bedside manner Excellent communication skills Impeccable emotional intelligence and listening skills A healthy endurance and ability to lift 50 lbs.
