Schedule : Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM

The facility is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The position has an on-call requirement on a rotating basis:

On call schedule:

  • Monday: 6PM-8AM
  • Tuesday: 6PM-8AM 
  • Wednesday: 6PM-8AM 
  • Thursday: 6PM-8AM
  • Friday from 6PM-Monday at 8AM 

Location : Onsite - 19500 W Interstate 10 San Antonio, TX 78257

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Collects and records initial client information to include type of referral, type of insurance, and patient demographics 
  • Answer/make high volume inbound/outbound calls to provide accurate, satisfactory answers to queries, concerns, and status of referral processing. Requests the referral source fax orders on all patients. Verifies client benefits
  • Notifies pharmacy and nursing when verification complete
  • Assist in obtaining authorization for skilled nursing visits, medications, and shift care
  • Complete all duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience working with customers and patients in a healthcare setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency communicating through physician written orders
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of medical terminology and ICD10 coding
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of the requirements for home health services

 

The salary range for this role is $16.88to $33.22per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
