C, Washington Pay : Excellent Job Description What You Will Be Doing:

• Review initial disclosures and conduct interviews with inventors to develop disclosures further.
• Draft patent application specifications.
• Prosecute patent applications, including responding to USPTO office actions and conducting examiner interviews.
• Communicate with clients about prosecution strategies (English communication is sufficient).
• This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Completed coursework in semiconductor physics, circuit design, and computer language programming.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from a U.S. law school.
• Licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state.
• Licensed patent attorney before the USPTO.
• At least two years of experience in patent prosecution, specifically in drafting specifications and responding to office actions in the semiconductor and computer science fields.
• Experience in discussing and developing invention disclosures directly with inventors.
• Legal status to work in the U.S.; H1B sponsorship available.
