About Our College

Galveston College is a comprehensive community college located on Galveston Island, just 40 miles south of Houston, Texas. Our College provides the citizens of Galveston Island and the surrounding region with academic, workforce development, continuing education, and community service programs. We serve an ethnically diverse population of approximately 2,400 students each semester in credit programs and nearly 5,000 individuals annually in continuing education programs. Job Highlights

Provides proctoring services in support of faculty, student services, and disability services in the testing center.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Customer service skills working with examinees, faculty and staff.
• Ability to be discrete, sincere, and perceptive in working with examinees.
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows applications, Internet, and email and standard office equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Enjoy working with the public and have a strong initiative to workindependently
• Ability to work in a quiet environment, learn detailed procedures, and handle a reasonable amount of stress
• Must not be a Galveston College student.
