Applications for Part-Time, Adjunct Instructor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District. Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach Chicana and Chicano Heritage (MAS 100): The curriculum Analyzes the cultural achievements and thought of the Spanish-speaking and Indigenous people of North America. Covers the development of North American Mestizo and Indigenous philosophical, intellectual, ethical, and aesthetic values.
Class modality is face-to-face. Classes may be held during weekdays, and/or evenings at any of the campus sites (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro).
Qualifications
Master's in Latino Studies, La Raza Studies, Chicana/o Studies, OR Master's in Ethnic Studies ORthe equivalent.
Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services(NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC.(ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with online application.
