Join us at Hot Topic for the exciting role of Part-Time Level 1 Assistant Manager. We are seeking passionate music and pop culture enthusiasts to help create exceptional shopping experiences for our customers.

In this position, you will play a key role in our success by supporting the store leadership team to deliver outstanding service and ensuring fans can find the merchandise they love. You will leverage your knowledge of fandom to train new team members and assist the management team with day-to-day operations and achieving sales targets.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver an amazing shopping experience that keeps customers coming back, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step up and provide leadership support on the sales floor when needed.
• Take on responsibilities such as opening and closing the store as required.
• Process sales transactions at the register, utilizing your product knowledge to enhance sales through add-ons and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Stay on top of store sales plans, knowing key performance indicators like UPT and ADT.
• Assist in planogram updates and managing store layout and displays.
• Communicate current fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Work closely with management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Contribute to maintaining a neatly organized stockroom and a tidy sales floor.
• Help foster a collaborative and enthusiastic team environment.
• Participate in other duties as assigned by the store leader.

What You'll Need:

• A minimum of 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Excellent skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to handle general retail responsibilities, including moving merchandise and unpacking boxes of product weighing up to 50 pounds.
