What you will be doing:

This position is responsible for cleaning, maintenance, construction and repairs of all grounds, buildings, facilities, equipment and athletic fields within the jurisdiction of the Kirkwood Park system. Candidates should have the ability to perform skilled and semi-skilled physically demanding work. This position operates some machinery and equipment. Non-routine, special events and weekend hours included.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

1. Graduated from High School or equivalent (required).
2. A minimum of three (3) or more years of grounds and facility maintenance work or equivalent experience.
3. Valid driver's license or simple Class B license
4. Experience in the operation of standard grounds related equipment such as mowers, tractors, trucks, and UTVs
5. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
6. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
7. Ability to performing strenuous work under inclement weather conditions.
8. Ability to walk up to five miles per day.
9. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and crawl as needed to adequately perform maintenance of parks
