The Village of Rantoul is hiring for part-time/seasonal Park Maintenance Worker .

The Park Maintenance Worker will help with the upkeep of the Village of Rantoul. The Park Maintenance Worker will help with a variety projects such as mowing, trimming, trash removal, raking, shoveling, landscaping, basic maintenance, and cleaning different areas thru out Rantoul.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a valid State of Illinois drivers license
• Be able to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
• Preferred someone who has experience in Grounds / Park Maintenance

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Ability to work independently; possess initiative; and be able to work effectively in a group setting
• Dependable and reliable
• Present yourself in a positive; professional manner at all times
• Experience with hand/electrical tools, preferred; but not required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Be comfortable working in all different types of weather conditions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB

• Make minor repairs as needed
• Mow, pick up sticks, landscape, trash removal, shovel, and rake
• Assist in repair and maintenance
• Water plants if needed
• Communicate with Foreman / Recreation Assistant Director with any issues that arise
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all time
