Job Description

Position: Paraprofessional

Rate: $20 to $25 per hour

 

Focused Staffing Group is seeking a qualified Paraprofessional with Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification .

 

In this role, you will provide essential support to teachers and students, assisting with lesson plans, engaging with students and their families, and facilitating scheduled activities. You will collaborate with teachers across various disciplines and work closely with residential staff responsible for elementary students, actively participating in the academic and residential community. A creative approach to classroom management and the ability to embody the school's mission and core values are essential for success in this position.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual or small group assistance to students.
• Support students in using technology devices effectively.
• Help conduct scheduled activities as planned.
• Contribute to the development of good character among students.
• Assist in creating instructional materials.
• Escort and monitor students as needed.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate proficiency in both written and oral communication in English.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 60 college credits; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Must possess Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification .
• At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting .
• Strong ability to work effectively with children.
• Excellent collaboration skills; must be a team player.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
