CritiCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to assist in providing quality educational support to students with diverse needs. As a paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive atmosphere that fosters student learning and development. Your role will involve supporting students academically and socially, while ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed. The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and displays a strong commitment to helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing classroom activities and lesson plans
• Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons and assignments
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Help create a positive learning environment
• Facilitate small group instruction as needed
• Support students with special needs in achieving their educational goals
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities
• Patience and a nurturing attitude
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Understanding of instructional strategies and how to implement them
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in education preferred
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
