Outside Sales Representative (Wine Distributor)

Position Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative for our wine distribution company, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with restaurants, bars, hotels, retailers, and other establishments within your designated territory. By leveraging your knowledge of wine and your exceptional sales skills, you will introduce our portfolio of wines to potential clients, educate them on our products, and secure orders to meet sales targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Prospect and qualify new leads within the assigned territory to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
2. Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and product tastings with prospective clients to showcase our wine portfolio and demonstrate its value.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales managers and customer service representatives, to coordinate sales efforts, resolve issues, and optimize customer experience.
5. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
6. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our brand, establish connections, and generate leads.
7. Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company, consistently striving for growth and success.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
2. Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the wine or beverage industry.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
4. Strong understanding of wine varietals, regions, and production processes, with a passion for the industry.
5. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, as needed.
