Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team to give back to America’s heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Jacksonville, NC.

Summary

• Part-time, 2-4 days / week
• Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (afternoons 1p-5p, not all days required)
• $850-900 / day
• 5 appts / day (once ramped up)
• No treating or prescribing
• No refraction

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.  No refraction required
• Diagnose visual disorders and document findings
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.

Experience

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice optometry . North Carolina license required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.
• Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
• Previous assessment experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $850.00 - $900.00 per day

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

License/Certification:

• Optometry License (North Carolina) (Required)

Ability to Commute:
