POSITION SUMMARY

Soul City Church is seeking a dynamic Operations and Facility Manager to oversee all aspects of facilities management, ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of the church's physical infrastructure while leading the vision for a distraction-free environment conducive to transformation. This individual will provide strategic operational support to ensure the seamless functioning of Soul City Church, possessing strong organizational, administrative, and operational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and foster a culture of excellence. Additionally, they will manage contracts with partnerships related to the church's facility, including parking arrangements and building rentals, and oversee the operation of the church's cafe, and culinary team ensuring smooth functioning and optimal customer service for attendees and visitors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This breakdown provides a rough estimate of the time distribution for each aspect of the Operations and Facility Manager role throughout the week. Adjustments can be made based on specific priorities and workload fluctuations.

Facility Management - 40%

  • Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of the church's physical infrastructure.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 part-time facility team members and contractors
  • Provide strategic support to ensure the seamless functioning of Soul City Church.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Manage and facilitate security and emergency response plans at Soul City Church.
  • Work onsite at the building during evening hours for events depending on the schedule

Cafe and Store Operations - 30%

  • Oversee the operation of the church's cafe, including managing opening hours during the week.
  • Supervise cafe staff, coordinate inventory management, and optimize customer service.

Partnership Management - 20%

  • Manage contracts with partnerships related to the church's facility, including parking arrangements and building rentals.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, maintain staffing, and have positive relationships with external partners.

Volunteer Leadership - 10%

  • Oversee volunteer teams and processes: Street Team, Flip Team, Cafe Team, Culinary Team

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities or operations management
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in contract negotiation and team leadership

EDUCATION

  • College Degree Preferred
