We're looking for skilled and enthusiastic part-time Online Chess Coaches to teach kids through our engaging online platform. As a remote coach, you'll have the flexibility to work between 5 and 25 hours per week, earning a competitive rate of $17 - $27 per hour, based on your chess skill and teaching experience. Coaches with high ratings or those who bring students to our program may qualify for higher rates.
What You'll Do
Teach to children aged 5-14 in online classes with up to 8 students.
Create a positive and enjoyable learning environment that fosters a love.
Conduct classes that include both instructional time and interactive gameplay.
Receive training on the technology to help you focus on teaching.
Occasionally contribute to lesson writing and curriculum development.
Qualifications
Access to equipment with video capability and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
A quiet and appropriate teaching environment.
Solid skills and teaching experience (grandmaster-level skills are not required).
Ability to be a dynamic and engaging teacher in an online setting.
A friendly, patient demeanor with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Self-motivated and optimistic attitude with the ability to work independently.
Schedule
During the school year: Teach classes from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm Eastern Time on weekdays, with possible hours on Saturday mornings and other times.
During summer and school breaks: Enjoy additional teaching opportunities for virtual summer camp programs, typically from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
