This position will require occasional travel from 300 State Street to 100 Peach Street, 1 city block. Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service.
* Greet and register patients with a courteous approach, providing clear instructions and directions.
* Verify demographic and insurance information in the medical record and scheduling system.
* Prepare patient charts and complete essential paperwork, including encounter forms and referrals.
* Maintain a clean and orderly waiting area, ensuring available materials are stocked and organized.
* Answer patient inquiries regarding appointments and testing, providing relevant information.
* Process medical records release requests and assist with billing inquiries for inpatient services.
* Utilize automated systems for scheduling, charge entry, and insurance verification to streamline operations.
Qualifications:
Required
* High school diploma or GED
* Three years of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
* Word processing and computer experience
Preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Customer service experience
* Previous pediatrics experience
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
* Act 34
