Job Title: Observability Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an Observability Engineer with a strong background in system monitoring and cloud observability to join our team. This role is critical in planning, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and observability artifacts across a complex enterprise network. You will work closely with developers and operations teams to integrate observability solutions for cloud services, on-premises infrastructure, Wi-Fi hardware, and applications..

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, enhance, and troubleshoot observability artifacts for assigned areas.
• Research architecture documents and release notes to define observability strategies for cloud and on-premises services and Wi-Fi hardware.
• Build and maintain dashboards and monitoring solutions in Splunk , Datadog , and Grafana .
• Develop observability artifacts to monitor system performance, reliability, application performance (APM), network performance (NPM), API responsiveness, and JVM metrics.
• Collaborate on network performance monitoring initiatives and contribute to Wi-Fi monitoring and analysis.
• Automate operational processes using BASH and Python scripting.
• Document release notes for observability artifacts developed and deployed.
• Utilize Git for version control of observability scripts and configurations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in SRE, DevOps, or Operations roles.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools, especially Datadog and Splunk .
• Proven ability to build and maintain dashboards and observability solutions.
• Strong background in monitoring cloud systems, preferably in AWS environments.
• Experience working with MongoDB in production environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, Rocky Linux ).
• Familiarity with log aggregation tools such as Splunk or Loki .
• Strong scripting skills in BASH and Python .
• Knowledge of SNMP-based monitoring strategies.
• Basic understanding of network devices and network appliance monitoring.
• Technical writing skills for clear and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
