Job Description

As a rapidly expanding multi-specialty law firm , we are in need of energetic, reliable and dedicated No-Fault claims adjusters to join our growing team in Brooklyn. The adjuster must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high pressure and collaborative environment.

Our prestigious and well-established law firm specializes in no-fault, bodily injury and property damage cases. The claims adjuster will be working closely with attorneys and paralegals in the property damage department.

The ideal candidate has three years of no-fault property damage claims experience, done investigating and negotiating, has exceptional communication skills and managed high-volume settlements.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be required to effectively communicate with all parties necessary to establish the automobile property damage claims.
  • Telephone and email communications are a major part of this role which includes daily communication with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and county fraud and arson personnel, special investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, members of the medical profession and all other people involved with the investigation and processing of claims.
  • Take accurate and detailed statements from all involved parties.
  • You will be required to investigate and determine responsibility, confirm coverage, establish damages, and negotiate settlement of claims, as needed.
  • Analyze and determine client and claimant liability.
  • Analyze and determine value of damages to client and claimant vehicles.
  • Negotiate and settle property losses with little oversight.
  • Coordinate with our attorneys to assist in the evaluation of cases in litigation.
  • The successful candidate will take accurate and detailed statements from all involved parties.

Qualifications:

  • A self-starter that can thrive in an independent, fast paced role.
  • Demonstrated organization, time management and priority setting skills.
  • Proficient technical aptitude and quick learner with new systems and programs.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and decision making.
  • Previous experience with auto property damage claims is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Property Damage Insurance Adjusters License a PLUS.
