Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon for an inpatient assignment in Hawaii! Our facility has various resources, technology, and support to assist in your practice. 

Practice Setting:

• Level 3 Trauma Center with onsite Anesthesia team 
• Support includes a team of experienced OR staff and surgical technicians 
• 219-bed facility with a certified stroke center 
• Angio suite with single-plane neuro/vascular procedure room
  • Philips 3 Tesla MRI, Toshiba 640 Slice CT, and Siemens Symbia Molecular Imaging Camera available onsite

Schedule Details:

• 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off 
  • 24-hour call 
• Average of 2 ED consults and 1 hospital visit per 24-hour call shift
• Approximately 40 spinal cord injury cases annually

Cases and Procedures:

• Evaluate, treat, and perform urgent neurosurgical procedures for emergencies such as trauma, hemorrhages, brain, spine, and peripheral nerve disorders
• Provide inpatient neurosurgical consultations, develop treatment plans, and monitor/manage post-operative patients
• Educate patients and families on neurosurgical conditions and procedures
