Under the direction of the operations manager, Network Support Specialist is an IT-focused role that is responsible for executing daily responsibilities related to device monitoring, network troubleshooting, application support, and upgrade project implementation and deployment. An emphasis is placed on assisting in the monitoring and support of A&F's core software and hardware applications. This is a role that demands building strong working relationships with all technical support teams.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.


What Will You Be Doing?
  • Monitoring and support of the store and corporate WAN infrastructure (1,100 stores, plus domestic and international offices)
  • Maintaining and support of the wireless network, SAN and VOIP systems
  • Incident management of A&F data centers, labs, storage facilities, and disaster recovery facilities
  • Staging new and replacement store and corporate network hardware
  • Physically installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing network hardware at local sites
  • Monitoring and support of core applications and store functions
  • Documenting troubleshooting procedures
What Do You Need To Bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/STEM related field, or combination of relevant skills/experience and education
  • Familiarity with Linux based systems and hardware
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with highly technical associates and executives
  • Experience troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper network equipment
  • Technical Services experience in Retail environment a plus
  • Ability to navigate technical issues and evaluate risk
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
