This position is located at (VSFB) Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor the control and display infrastructure of the local area networks for failures.
  • Configure metric interface systems in preparation for daily operations.
  • Provide system status as requested by the users, dispatch support personnel to the range customers as needed.
  • Maintain daily logs in a clear and legible format.
  • Monitor daily operational schedules and deconflict when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail both visually and written.
  • Ability to multitask various means of communication (i.e. phone call and physical walkup).
  • Self-motivate, initiative and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team contributor or independently while communicating and coordinating work efforts with coworkers and customers.

Required Experience

  • Associate degree in computer related field or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in operations and maintenance environment
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Windows desktop environment.
  • Customer service experience, preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $34.58 to $43.06 per hour. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
