Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in Natural Gas Risk Management in a trading environment Advanced understanding of natural gas price deconstruction and risk decomposition Advanced knowledge of natural gas forward curve structure, setup, and configuration Advanced understanding of risk management system architecture Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities High technical proficiency, including Excel and Power BI Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and manage complexity Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Highly self‑motivated with strong ownership mindset Responsibilities Lead and/or manage a small Risk Control team Monitor trade capture and validate transactions against approved trader limits and delegations Oversee and troubleshoot interfaces between exchange platforms (e.g., ICE/CME) and the ETRM system Generate, analyze, and report current‑month ("cash") positions Generate, analyze, and report forward positions and related mark‑to‑market (MTM) valuations Prepare daily risk exposure reports and provide insight into MTM drivers and changes Monitor and report daily Value at Risk (VaR) for both consolidated portfolios and individual business units; explain results and supporting market dynamics as needed Perform back testing, scenario analysis, stress testing, and performance analysis to explain portfolio and MTM behavior Conduct daily derivative reconciliations with clearing counterparties Maintain consistent communication with Front Office stakeholders and Executive Management Support maintenance and enhancement of the risk management system and associated databases to centralize data and automate reporting Develop a deep understanding of the ETRM platform and partner with IT/Business Solutions to implement new functionality aligned with business needs Build and enhance analytical tools and data models (Excel, VBA, Power BI) to improve risk visibility and analysis Develop, document, and enhance risk procedures and controls as required Ensure accurate capture and valuation of complex transactions Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver analytical requests and reporting in a timely manner Per our client's specifications, candidates are required to be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US.
