Job Description

:

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for purchasing natural gas supply in accordance with and in support of the Company's supply and services portfolio strategy. Purchases include but are not limited to term, spot, and day deals and may include a variety of pricing structures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, accounting, or business administration; and
  • Three years of energy marketing, scheduling, control, or trading/purchasing experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Requires minimal travel (up to 10%).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in economics.
  • Demonstrated success creating and deploying financial instruments as hedging strategy.
  • Experience with and understanding of regulatory agencies.
  • Has traded, purchased, or marketed energy commodities, particularly natural gas.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and secure daily, seasonal, annual, and long-term gas supply deals with well producers, energy brokers, and marketers in support of natural gas supply strategy.
  • Partner with scheduling function to effectively align gas supply purchases within the constraints of the gas supply services portfolio to meet daily, monthly, and seasonal customer requirements.
  • Maintain and apply and understanding of regional and national natural gas services networks.
  • Actively participate in and stay current with the natural gas market conditions, trends, and expectations.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Offers typically made between - $69,680 - $86,730
