Job Description

The Midstream Operator 3, working under limited supervision, is responsible for leading activities based on maintenance plans and closely examines digging and boring in and around lines ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of the pipeline system. The role leads periodic visual inspections, ensures equipment changes are provided to the master data team, and drives real-time surveillance of pipeline systems. The role leads line operations in compliance with regulatory permits and maintains compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The role drives completion of corrective tasks based on work orders, represents the company in delivery of materials, and collaborates with chemical tech to maintain internal pipeline protection and with engineering teams to implement pipeline upgrades to improve efficiency. The role assists with the orientation and training of lower-level employees, sharing knowledge and expertise on pipeline operations and maintenance, and maintains a field-wide contact role for pipeline operations. Responsibilities include leading activities based on maintenance plans, monitoring digging and boring near pipelines, equipment repairs, line crossing inspections, using predictive maintenance tools, maintaining accurate records and GIS data, leading visual inspections and pigging activities, ensuring compliance with laws and DOT regulations, providing emergency information, real-time surveillance of pipeline systems, completing corrective tasks and overseeing vendors, coordinating material deliveries, collaborating with chemical tech and engineering teams, performing complex departmental tasks, assisting with training, maintaining communication during emergencies, and promoting a safe work environment through the SAFE program. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED. Experience required is 4+ years in relevant fields such as Pipeline Inspections, Operations, and Maintenance, preferably in E&P Operations. Preferred certifications include OSHA, DOT Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ), and API 1169 Pipeline Inspector Certification. Competencies include oral and written communication, results orientation, active learning, digital literacy, and business acumen. Skills include corrosion monitoring, root cause analysis, pipeline maintenance, regulatory compliance, instrumentation controls, equipment maintenance, issue tracking and resolution, and data analysis and reporting.
