Merchandiser / Sales Associate

Location: San Diego, CA (In-Office)
Salary: $60,000 per year + 5% commission on net sales
Equity: Ownership equity included

Position Overview

The Merchandiser / Sales Associate role is essential to Varsity Made's growth. You'll be responsible for driving sales, handling prospecting, and executing strategic marketing plans. This role offers not only a competitive salary and commission but also ownership equity in the company. You’ll be working closely with the CEO to ensure that Varsity Made continues to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution:

    • Drive sales through effective merchandising and execution strategies.

    • Engage in email prospecting and email marketing campaigns to expand our customer base.

    • Assist in planning and executing strategies to meet sales goals.

    • Meet sales quotas and ensure net sales growth.

  • Merchandising:

    • Ensure that Varsity Made products are displayed effectively to engage i jcustomers.

    • Collaborate with the CEO on merchandising strategies for new products and promotions.

    • Maintain product presentation standards.

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.

    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent service.

    • Work collaboratively with the team to fulfill custom design requests and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Strategic Involvement:

    • Assist in developing and executing overall sales strategies and promotional campaigns.

    • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to growth initiatives.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work directly with the CEO and Founder on company direction and decision-making.

    • Contribute to broader company goals, sharing insights from sales and marketing activities.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in fashion, custom apparel, or merchandising.

  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or merchandising roles.

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in email marketing and prospecting.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with marketing strategy and client engagement.

  • Driven, organized, and results-oriented with a passion for growing a business.
