Under a board-approved supervisor, provides clinical and consultative services to prevent, assess, evaluate, and treat mental emotional or behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling services for families and couples.
• Coordinates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patient in care.
• Provides liaison between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient's care.
• Consults and assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
• Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and clinical experience with family and couple interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment.
• Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.

EDUCATION:

• Master's degree or higher in professional counseling or related field is required.

EXERIENCE:

• Up to one (1) year related experience. Experience in Marriage and Family Therapy preferred.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:

• At minimum, registered with the Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as an intern.
• MFT-A or LPC-A preferred.
