Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Department: Podiatry - Dade City/Wesley Chapel

We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist for our Podiatry Department. This role is responsible for the Check In/out and phones, able to multi-task in a high volume office. Candidates with previous medical office experience and great customer service is preferred. Must be able to understand medical terminology and have great typing and phone skills, be organized and dependable. At least one year of Previous front office medical experience. Ability to multi task in high volume office. Must be reliable.

Keys to Success in this Role:

• Prepare e-charts prior to appointment
• Assist traffic at the front window
• Collect and process monies due
• Address tasks in a timely manner
• Process medical record releases
• Assist traffic on the phones
• Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong team player
• Excellent computer proficiency
• Prior experience in a medical office highly preferred

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
• Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• 1 year minimum experience in a medical office required
• Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Occupational Exposure:

• Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
