Job Description

As the first point of contact at Impression Foot & Ankle, the Medical Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow throughout the day. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations at the front desk, exemplifying professionalism and compassion in all interactions. This position reports directly to our Office Manager and collaborates with various team members to deliver outstanding patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in practice management software, and an ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-ups.
• Collect, verify, and update patient information in the electronic health record system.
• Answer phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and routing calls as necessary.
• Process patient payments and verify insurance information at the time of service.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and documents for appointments and medical records.
• Ensure the reception area remains clean and organized to provide a welcoming environment.
• Manage office supplies and reordering when necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care and efficient clinic operation.
• Handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; further certification in office management or medical administration is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical or dental office setting.
• Strong proficiency with medical practice management software and MS Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of professionalism and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must be empathetic and discrete when handling patient concerns and personal medical information.
• Availability to work full time, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Details :
Role: Medical Front Desk Receptionist
Schedule: Full-Time, 8am-5pm
Salary: $16-18 per hour, depending on experience
