Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Respond to all inquiries, insurance denials, and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.
• Responsible for the submission of timely appeals, re-determinations, and reconsideration according to payer guidelines.
• Provides feedback to clients for improvement.
• Reviews and submits primary EOB to the secondary and tertiary payer for processing.
• Monitors insurance accounts receivable and follows up on 30, 60, 90, and 121+ aged claims.
• Researches and resolves all recoupment and refund requests.
• Reports aging status to Billing Manager.
• Follow company policies and procedures as well as state and federal guidelines.

Education/Training:

• CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years previous medical billing or revenue cycle management experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
