Family Life Care is looking for an experienced Medical Billing and Collections specialist to join our team at a fast-paced home healthcare company in Orange Park, Florida. Strong understanding of Home Health Medical Claims, Billing and Collections is required.

Primary Job Duties

• Performs medical billing and accounts receivable tasks to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Maintains patient account records to document billing and collections history.
• Use payer and clearinghouse portals to research and resolve unpaid claims.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance in home health care
• Experience with Florida Medicaid and the HHAexchange system
• Strong knowledge of healthcare software and payer portal experience
• Experience working with Palmetto GBA (Medicare)
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Ability to research and find necessary information to submit or collect on unpaid claims.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Positive attitude and be a team player
